Terms of Service.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Nalo at asknalo.com (the "Service"), operated by DarkoLab AI Inc. ("DarkoLab", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use Nalo.
2. What Nalo is
Nalo analyzes materials you provide — such as job descriptions, résumés, and interview notes — and produces a structured readiness assessment, including a readiness score, gaps, a claim-defense plan, and practice suggestions. Nalo is a preparation and informational tool.
3. No guarantee of outcomes
Nalo does not guarantee any job, interview, offer, or other outcome. Our analyses, scores, and suggestions are informational and predictive only, are generated in part by AI and may contain errors or omissions, and do not constitute professional, career, legal, financial, or employment advice. You are responsible for your own decisions. Always verify important information independently.
4. Your account
You are responsible for your account and for keeping your login secure. Notify us promptly at hello@asknalo.com of any unauthorized use. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.
5. Your content
You retain ownership of the materials you submit ("Your Content"). You grant DarkoLab a limited license to host, process, and analyze Your Content solely to provide and improve the Service, including sending it to our AI subprocessors to generate your results. You represent that you have the right to submit Your Content and that it does not infringe others’ rights or contain unlawful material. You may delete Your Content at any time.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to: use the Service unlawfully or to harm others; upload content you don’t have the right to share, or that contains another person’s private information without permission; attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, overload, or disrupt the Service; resell or commercially exploit the Service without our written permission; or misrepresent the Service’s outputs as guarantees.
7. Payments, credits, and subscriptions
Prices are shown on our pricing page and processed by our payment provider. One-time purchases (such as a Readiness Map or Interview Sprint) grant access to that deliverable. Credit packs are valid for 12 months from purchase. Nalo Pro is a recurring subscription that renews automatically until cancelled; you can cancel anytime and retain access until the end of the current billing period. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable; if something goes wrong, contact hello@asknalo.com and we’ll try to make it right.
8. Our intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, brand, and content (excluding Your Content), is owned by DarkoLab and protected by law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for your personal use under these Terms. "Nalo" and "DarkoLab" are our marks.
9. AI-generated content
Outputs are generated using AI and statistical methods. They may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date, and similar inputs may produce different results. Use your judgment and treat outputs as a starting point, not a final authority.
10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, DarkoLab will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, opportunities, or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or CAD $100.
12. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service or other users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including ownership, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will survive.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be subject to the courts located in British Columbia, Canada.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the "Last updated" date; material changes will be communicated to you. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
